General Services Foundation has two main programs to assist high schoolers based in North Carolina. This is to start initiatives and get involved in the nonprofit world.
Students can become members of General Services Foundation, where they can get involved in ongoing initiatives or start one of their own! The GSF board will assist students with the planning and initial costs associated with starting an initiative.

program two - Young nonprofit fellows
Through this program, students will intern with their given nonprofit for a summer (our pilot program). Alongside their internship, fellows choose a large-scale project that they will be completing for their nonprofit.
The goal of this program is to connect high school students with a passion for our community to nonprofits. Students will be able to get experience in a professional setting, learn important skills, and explore careers in this sector while making a long-term impact on one mission. These students will intern and execute a large-scale project while learning life skills they can take with them.
If you are a high-schooler in the RTP area interested in taking on a nonprofit internship, take a look at the information sheet and fill out the application below!
